POTATO CURRY





























































INGREDIENTS


Potato : 4 pieces (large)
Cumin seeds : 1/4 tsp
Salt : 1/2 tsp (As per taste)
Turmeric powder : 1/4 tsp
Chilly powder : 1 tsp
Tomato : 3 pieces (medium – finely chopped)
Capsicum : 1 piece (large– small pieces)
Green chilly : 2-3 pieces
Onion : 4 pieces (medium – finely chopped)
Ginger paste : 1/2 tsp
Garlic paste : 1/2 tsp
Garam masala : 1/4 tsp


PREPARATION

• Boil potato in pressure cooker
• Cut potato into small pieces and keep it aside
• Heat 6-8 tsp of oil in a pan
• Pour chopped onion, garlic paste, ginger paste, capsicum, tomato and green chilly
• Stir it for 10-15 minutes
• Add turmeric powder, chilly powder and salt and stir it nicely for another 5-10 minutes
• Pour potato pieces and then mix it well
• Add 1/2 cup of water
• Cover the pan for 5-10 minutes
• Remover the cover of the pan and scatter garam masala
• Serve it hot with chapatti

  6. What a spicy potato curry my dear..too good for the climate here..I would just help myself and finish the entire bowl with dozen of hot crispy ghee doas..yummmy yum yum :)

    This dish looks so different!! The tomato pieces can be identified and I think it will give a distinct taste ..I like your optimum use of oil, any thing less will spoil the taste I guess.
