BARRAMUNDI FISH FRY



























































INGREDIENTS

Barramundi fish : 1/2 kg
Potato : 2 pieces (medium size)
Tomato : 2 pieces (medium size)
Salt : 1/2 tsp (As per taste)
Fish masala : 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder : 1/4 tsp
Chilly powder : 1 tsp
Ginger paste : 1/4 tsp
Green chilly : 2-3 pieces
Onion : 2 pieces (medium – finely chopped)


PREPARATION

• Cut the fish into small pieces
• Marinate the fish with turmeric powder, chilly powder, fish masala and salt and keep it aside for 30 minutes
• Cut potato into long pieces like french fries
• Cut tomato and onion into small pieces
• Heat 6-8 tsp of oil in a pan
• Pour potato, chopped onion, tomato and green chilly
• Stir it for 15-20 minutes
• Add turmeric powder, chilly powder, ginger paste and salt
• Stir it nicely for another 5-10 minutes
• Pour the fish pieces then mix it well
• Cover the pan for 5-10 minutes (keep in low flame)
• Remover the cover of the pan
• Serve it hot with chapatti or white rice

    I am back from the Himalayas and it was just out of the world. After opening this page I went straight to google to find out what is barramundi fish. Now I have some ideas. From the pic I guess it may be close to Bhetki in Bengal.
    I can try some other fish with this recipe. It looks delicious.

  21. Looks yummy....babli u won't beleive on sunday, in the grocerry store while fish shopping I found frozen Australian Barramundi....but had no clue what kind of fish it is & how it tastes....so got back with salmon..... may be some time i'll try this now.....
