FISH DE GOBHI
INGREDIENTS
Fish (ruhu) : 500 grams
Cauliflower : 1 piece (small size)
Potatoes : 2 pieces (medium size)
Tomatoes : 1 piece (big size – finely chopped)
Onion : 2 pieces (medium size – finely chopped)
Salt : 1/2 tsp (as per taste)
Green chilly : 4-5 pieces
Coriander powder : 1/2 tsp
Cumin powder : 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder : 1/2 tsp
Chilly powder : 1/2 tsp
PREPARATION
• Clean the fish and cut into medium pieces
• Cut cauliflower and potato into medium pieces
• Marinate the fish with turmeric powder and chilly powder
• Heat 8-10 tsp of oil in a kadai
• Pour the fish in kadai and fry it nicely then keep it aside
• Pour onion and stir it for 5-10 minutes
• Add cauliflower and potatoes and stir it again
• Add green chilly, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, chilly powder and salt and mix it properly
• Stir it for 10-15 minutes
• Pour the chopped tomatoes and stir it again for 5-10 minutes
• Cover the kadai for 4-5 minutes
• Add the fish pieces and stir it for 5 minutes
• Serve it hot with plain rice

ReplyDeletePhulkopi aar rui maacher jhol aamaar khub bhalo lage, with rice and a little squirt of lemon juice. Your recipe is very similar to what my Mum makes, except for coriander powder she used jeera powder. I specially like the flavor the green chilies add.
