TADKA DAL





















































INGREDIENTS

Moong Dal (whole green) : 1 cup
Onion : 2 pieces (big size - finely chopped)
Cauliflower : 1/2 bowl (small size)
Carrot : 1/2 bowl (small size)
Salt : 1 tsp (as per taste)
Chilly powder : 1 tsp
Cumin powder : 1/4 tsp
Coriander powder : 1/4 tsp
Egg : 1 piece
Ghee : 1/2 tsp
Garam masala : 1/4 tsp


PREPARATION

• Soak dal for 7-8 hours
• Boil the dal in pressure cooker
• Cut carrot and cauliflower into small pieces
• Pour 5-6 tsp of oil in a kadai
• Add onion and stir it well for 5-10 minutes
• Add carrot and cauliflower and stir it for 10-15 minutes
• Add salt, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and chilly powder and mix it well
• Cover the kadai for 5-10 minutes
• Open the lid and pour dal then mix it well
• Stir it for 5-10 minutes and add little water
• Cover the kadai for few minutes
• Open the lid and stir it
• Take the egg and just pour over the tadka and mix it well
• Scatter garam masala
• Serve tadka dal with roti/paratha
