SHAHI LAUKI PRAWN





































































INGREDIENTS

Lauki : 1 kilo
Prawn : 250 gram (small size)
Methi seeds : 1/2 tsp
Salt : 1/2 tsp (as per taste)
Turmeric powder : 1/4 tsp
Onion : 2 pieces (medium size – finely chopped)
Cumin powder : 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder : 1/2 tsp
Bay leaf : 3-4 pieces
Green chilly : 4-5 pieces


PREPARATION

• Cut lauki into small pieces and keep aside
• Heat 5-6 tsp of oil in a kadai
• Pour chopped onions and prawn and fry it nicely for 10-15 minutes
• Keep the prawn separately
• Heat 4-5 tsp of oil again in a kadai
• Pour methi seeds and wait for few seconds till it sizzle
• Pour lauki and then stir it well
• Add salt, turmeric powder, green chilly, cumin powder, coriander powder and bay leaf then mix it properly
• Stir it well for 10-15 minutes
• Pour prawn into the lauki and mix it well for 5-10 minutes
• Serve it hot with roti / naan
