FISH CURRY (PARSHE MACHH – In Bengali)






















































INGREDIENTS


Fish : 1/2 kilo
Black cumin seeds : 1/4 tsp
Salt : 1/2 tsp (As per taste)
Turmeric powder : 1/4 tsp
Bori (made of dal) : 10-12 pieces
Chilly powder : 1/4 tsp
Green chilly : 2-3 pieces
Coriander leaves : 1/4 bowl


PREPARATION

• Heat 8-10 tsp of oil in a kadai
• Fry the fish properly
• Keep the fish aside
• Fry bori till it becomes crispy
• Keep the bori separately in a plate
• Add black cumin seeds and wait for few seconds till it sizzle
• Pour bori in it
• Add salt, turmeric powder, green chilly and chilly powder
• Stir it for 10-15 minutes
• Pour 2 cups of water
• Cover the kadai for 4-5 minutes
• Remove the cover of the pan
• Pour the fish in it and stir it well for 4-5 minutes
• Scatter coriander leaves on it
• Serve it hot with plain rice
