PARWAL CURRY
INGREDIENTS
Parwal : 1/2 kilo
Potato : 2-3 pieces (medium size)
Tomato : 1 piece (big size – finely chopped)
Salt : 1/2 tsp (as per taste)
Turmeric powder : 1/4 tsp
Coriander powder : 1/2 tsp
Cumin powder : 1/2 tsp
Green chilly : 6-8 pieces
Bay leaf : 2-3 pieces
PREPARATION
• Cut parwal and potato into small pieces and keep aside
• Heat 6-8 tsp of oil in a kadai
• Pour parwal and potato and stir it well
• Add cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, turmeric powder and bay leaf
• Mix it well and stir it for 5-10 minutes
• Add tomatoes and green chilly
• Stir it again for 5-10 minutes
• Cover the kadai for 10-15 minutes till the potato becomes soft
• Serve it hot with roti/plain rice

Parwal curry look delicious they appear alittle like ivy gourd -tindora.

Hi Babli.......came after a long time n loved this parval curry..just a few day back i enjoyed a similar parval curry with fish at one of my bong friend's place.

I have seen this veggie in Indian stores, though I have never brought them since I didn't know how to cook them...now I can try yours Babli...looks really good :)
